LEADERSHIP LESSON #1: TURN MY HEART O LORD

If you are in a Leadership role, today, what are you facing?

How many items do you need to make sure move along? How many people will want some input? How many decisions will you be asked to make—and what is the impact of those decisions?

If I could be in conversation with you, it sounds like a busy day.

How can we possibly stand a chance of getting it right, getting it right for the Lord?

Proverbs 21:1 writes: “The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord;    he turns it wherever he will.”

Did you notice, the king’s heart, a leader’s heart, is a stream of water If it is in the hands of the Lord.

Okay, so I added the word “if”. As I read the Scriptures that is what I am finding is key, I must place my heart in the hand of the Lord.

When I do, will accept His reproof?

There is much to write about accepting God’s reproof. For today however, I want to simply invite you to consider the various Leadership roles you fill.

We all fill Leadership roles.

The question IS, “Do I give my heart to the Lord, not in some ‘one-time prayer’, but in daily submission?”

Perhaps today, you might, start your day with a prayer: “Lord I give you again, anew, my heart—turn it as you will.”
