Day 1: 5 Minutes with Philemon- Invitation

5 Minutes With Philemon (1).png

My Bible is full of cross references. One story, even one word, builds on the others. I love to note how the Bible—made up of 66 different books, covering a vast array of literary genres, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by many different humans—is the cogent story of God redeeming his creation.

Yet, how does the Letter to Philemon help? What is God saying to us? Is there anything that God might want to say to me through the Letter to Philemon?

It is less than 500 words, and you can read it in less than 5 minutes.

In the coming days, I hope to answer those questions.

After all, ALL God’s Word is useful.

We know the Letter to Philemon has a specific purpose; dealing with a runaway slave. However, God, in His Word, so often uses specific events and situations to teach us lessons for life—lessons of faith.

I invite you to read the Letter of Philemon with me.

I am calling it: 5 Minutes with Philemon.
